Larry Vasquez
Larry was born on April 15, 1947, in Silver City, New Mexico. He carries a rich heritage as a descendant of the Aztec, Mayan, and Mescalero Apache tribes. Creativity and craftsmanship run deep in his lineage—his father was both a musician and artist, his grandfather worked with the earth’s treasures of silver and gold, and his great-grandfather, of Mayan descent, was a maker of flutes.
Like many true artists, Larry is a dreamer, poet, and visionary. His personality is as colorful as his art—passionate, sensitive, emotional, truthful, impetuous, vivacious, respectful, and deeply intense. He lives in reverence of life, honoring God and all children of the universe. In his heart, Larry is one with all, embracing and reflecting the wholeness of existence.
Much of Larry’s artistic and poetic inspiration flows from the beauty of nature. This love of the natural world led to his devotion to working with the vibrant gems and minerals of the earth. Never content with the ordinary, Larry is known for seeking only the finest quality, a commitment that has become the foundation of his reputation. He often combines gold, silver, and platinum to create strikingly vivid colors, resulting in jewelry of extraordinary beauty, craftsmanship, and uniqueness. Each of his creations is truly one of a kind.

Inspiration for this ring “Reflections”

“I walked out into the pond, lying back gazing at the night sky. I looked all around me, the stars and clouds reflecting on the water. There was no separation between sky and water. It was just the blue beyond in the midst of shimmering stars and clouds.”Prince Egyptian turquoise is a variety of turquoise found in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, known for its rich blue hues and distinctive red and golden matrix patterns. It has a long history, having been mined and prized by ancient Egyptians for its beauty and sacred significance. Today, it's still mined from the original ancient mines and is favored by collectors and jewelry designers
