Visions of Mary
I have been lead to paint images of Mary after a vision I experienced ten years ago. I was seated alone at church, in the silence of prayer, her presence was so clear I could hear the movement of her garments as she knelt before me. I paint her in the perspective of many different religions and nationalities to promote a sense of unity. Her image speaks of unconditional love, family, peace, and healing. Women often connect to her with a Goddess sense of empowerment.
Painting for thirty years, I have moved through landscapes and figurative subject matter. My work has shown in galleries from coast to coast painting over four hundred paintings. My formative studies were done at the University of Texas at Arlington continuing with classes from artists all over the United States and Canada.
Painted with the authenticity of the old retablos style, these pieces are ever lasting, to be passed on from generation to generation.
