Bobbie Dunham has been painting in oils for forty
years. Since retiring as an educator in 1994, art has
become her full time endeavor.
Bobbie’s professional background includes study with
widely known artists Richard Goetz of Oklahoma City,
Judy McCombs of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Ray Vinella of
Taos, New Mexico. For the last nine years, she has
studied with David Leffel in his workshops at the
Loveland Academy.
Bobbie’s work has been accepted in over fifty juried and
museum shows. Her paintings have won numerous awards
including “Best of Show”, and her paintings have placed
in five of the six shows she recently entered.
Bobbie’s art is featured in galleries in Oklahoma, New
Mexico, as well as the Lincoln Gallery and Art of the
Rockies Gallery in Loveland, Colorado. Her work is
proudly displayed in homes and offices throughout the
U.S., Mexico and Taiwan.
Bobbie now resides in Loveland, CO and is active in
local artist groups and continues her study through
workshops and weekly classes with Daniel Edmonson of Ft.
Collins.
Although no subject is beyond her scope and interest,
still life painting is Bobbie’s passion. Still life
painting provides her the opportunity to take simple,
ordinary objects and make them come alive using light,
contrast and color.
"I love to paint light emerging from dark…alive
with rich contrast and brilliant color."
